A woman has found herself caught in a difficult situation after buying a car for her father without her husband’s consent, leading to tension in her marriage.
According to mStar, the woman explained that she made the decision out of a long-standing desire to fulfil her father’s wish of owning a car.
Bought car using her own money
According to her, the purchase was made in February after seeing how much her father had wanted a vehicle for years.
I bought a car for my father. I know he has always really wanted one,” she wrote.
She added that she chose to go ahead with the decision despite knowing her husband did not approve.
“My husband didn’t allow me to buy it, but I still went through with it because I don’t think it’s wrong. I used my own money,” she said.
Husband calls her ‘disobedient’
However, her actions have since caused strain in their relationship.
The woman claimed that her husband has grown distant and unhappy with her family, accusing her of being “disobedient” for going against his wishes.
“He said if I want to fix things, I need to sell the car. Only then will he forgive me and my family,” she shared.
Following the ultimatum, the woman admitted she now feels stuck between keeping peace with her husband and staying true to her intentions of helping her father.
