## M'sian man burnt alive inside kitchen

The Chinese daily reported that the victim was 51-year-old Chen Zhenan (transliteration), who was unemployed.

When neighbours saw the fire, they quickly rushed over to put it out and discovered Chen lying on the kitchen floor with severe burns all across his body.

A distress call was then made to the Port Dickson fire and rescue department at 8.50am, where a team arrived nine minutes later. By then, the fire had already been extinguished.

##### Preliminary investigations later revealed that the blaze's origin was from cooking equipment in the kitchen, where a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder was found.

Thankfully, only 5% of the house was damaged by the fire, thus stopping the fire from spreading to three wooden terrace houses nearby.
