Owning the car of your dreams is definitely something everybody wants to achieve in their lifetime, but it’s largely dependent on their financial ability.
However, there are some who insist on purchasing a car that’s way beyond their financial means, only to blame those around them when they realise it wasn’t a prudent decision.
Insisted on Proton S70 despite misgivings
A car salesperson recently shared how she had to deal with one such customer, where a man was looking to purchase a Proton S70 with his monthly income of RM2,300.

“Although I advised him to opt for a Proton Saga instead, he insisted on buying the Proton S70 and claimed to have other sources of income, which was why we went ahead with the loan application.
“Despite facing some documentation issues, including inconsistent Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributions, the loan application was eventually approved,” she said as reported by mStar.
Gets flak for falling behind on payments
Six months later, the man came back and angrily confronted the salesperson, where he blamed her for putting him in a situation where he couldn’t afford the car anymore.
He said I was the one who proceeded with his loan application. He even said I shouldn’t have entertained him at that time.

“But he was the one who kept forcing it until we got annoyed, and now he wants to blame others,” she said.
Netizens weren’t sympathetic with the man at all, with many saying that he failed to count the cost before purchasing the car.
They also called him out for wanting to show off by buying a car that was out of his financial means and said he now has to pay the price for it,
