Stress is a part of life.
Deadlines pile up, problems come out of nowhere, and we tell ourselves, “It’s fine. I can handle it.”
But what happens when the stress you’ve been ignoring shows up in ways you never expected—like affecting your eyesight?
That’s exactly what happened to TikTok user @yes_iman, who recently shared his terrifying experience of nearly going blind.
What started as a normal workday turned into a wake-up call he’ll never forget.
He saw an indentation on the wall

Iman was in his studio working when he noticed something strange.
He thought he saw an indentation on the wall.
Curious, he reached out to touch it, but everything felt normal. Shrugging it off, he carried on with his day, thinking maybe his eyes were just tired.
But the next day, things got worse.
A large, blurry circle right in the centre of his vision
This time, Iman saw a large, blurry circle right in the centre of his vision.
It was like a shadow blocking his view. Thinking his glasses’ prescription had changed, he went to a nearby optical shop to sort it out.
He hoped for a quick fix, but instead, the optician told him something unsettling: there was an issue with his eyes that needed medical attention.
CSC is often triggered by high levels of stress

At the hospital, after a thorough eye check-up, Iman learned the shocking truth.
His left eye was swollen, and there was a bubble-like formation on it—a condition called Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSC).
The doctor explained that CSC is often triggered by high levels of stress.
If left untreated, it could lead to permanent vision damage.
The news hit hard when the doctor warned that if his symptoms didn’t improve within two months, he might need surgery or laser treatment to save his eyesight.
After the diagnosis, Iman realised just how much stress had taken a toll on him without him noticing.
Sharing his experience on TikTok, he urged others not to ignore their health, especially when dealing with stress.
“Always take care of your health,” he said in his video.
“If you feel stressed, make sure to rest and give your body the care it needs.”
