Furious that his son did not follow his instructions in making a cup of coffee, a man in Melaka proceeded to allegedly toss a chair towards the boy’s direction, resulting in injuries.
A police report has since been made and police are currently investigating the incident.
M’sian man allegedly throws chair at son over lukewarm coffee
According to a report by Kosmo, the incident took place at the man’s home in Taman Cheng Baru at around 10:30pm on Wednesday (June 25).

Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit told the Malay daily that the boy’s mother, who worked as a tuition teacher, returned home to find his head all bandaged up.
“Her husband told her he had beaten the boy as he had lied to him. It was also understood that the man did so as his son reportedly used warm water instead of hot water to make coffee.
“When questioned, the boy tried to make excuses, which angered the man and caused him to throw a chair at his son,” said Patit when contacted.

Aside from the bandaged head, the boy also sustained bruises on his left hand.
Police report lodged
Patit said the boy’s mother later lodged a report at the Tanjung Minyak police station at 9.11pm on Saturday (June 28) out of concern for her son’s safety.
The case is now being probed by the Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division (D11) of the Melaka Criminal Investigation Department.
