There are times when students have to spend the entire day at classes with their stomachs rumbling away as they don’t have money to buy food from the cafeteria.
Seeing the wide number of students going hungry at the university he was teaching at, a lecturer took it upon himself to provide free food for needy students to enjoy.
Placed cupboard filled with food at uni campus
In a Threads post shared by Mohammad Noorizzuddin Nooh, he posted several photos of cupboard that was laden with food which he placed at the campus.
Inside the cupboard, there were a total of six baskets that held numerous packets of ready-to-eat food.

In the caption, Mohammad revealed that it was a fact that university students often went to class hungry and shared the incident that led him to provide free food.
Three years ago, I saw some students hanging around at the cafeteria without eating anything. When I asked them why, they told me they had no money.”
He added that many have since stepped in to donate food for needy students and called upon those who skipped meals due to financial constraint to not be shy in taking the food.

“Just take it. You don’t have to scan (a QR code) or fill in your name. If you’re hungry, just take it,” he wrote.
Netizens touched
In the comment section, netizens expressed support for Mohammad’s initiative and commended him for it.
‘May Allah bless you always. This is truly inspiring.’

‘Good job. One act of kindness will produce another act of kindness in the future. They (the students) are our future.’

‘Alhamdulilah. Thank you to all the kind people and may your burdens be eased. Good idea, it minimises food wastage.’
