M’sian Man Lands On Myvi After Being Sent Flying Into The Air In Horrific Klang Accident

The Honda City driver tested positive for drugs and alcohol.
Netizens were left shocked after dashcam footage showed a local man being flung several metres into the air before landing on top of a Perodua Myvi following a crash.

Unfortunately, he didn’t survive the crash and was killed at the scene.

What dashcam footage showed

In the dashcam footage, the blue Perodua Myvi is seen travelling along the road when a grey Honda City suddenly cuts into the frame and swerves into the opposite lane at a high speed.

In the blink of an eye, the Honda City crashes right into a motorcyclist on the opposite lane, sending the latter flying into the air and spinning several times before landing on top of the Myvi.

Another clip showed a group of bystanders surrounding and confronting the Honda City driver, who is seen sitting by the roadside and pleading for mercy from the angry mob.

Tested positive for alcohol, drugs

In a statement by South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey, he said the accident occurred at around 11.40am yesterday (Mar 29).

Preliminary investigations found that the Honda City driver was travelling from Jalan Raya Barat towards Klang town in a reckless and high-speed manner.

“Upon reaching the scene, the driver is believed to have overtaken several vehicles before entering the opposite lane and colliding with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

“The victim, who was thrown onto a Myvi, was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said as reported by NST.

Lim added that screening tests showed that the Honda City driver had drugs and alcohol in his system.

He was subsequently detained to assist investigations under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
