In Malaysia, one of the most annoying groups drivers often have to contend with are ‘mat rempits‘ who endanger the lives of their own and others by doing dangerous stunts at breakneck speeds.
A local influencer who got understandably annoyed by these illegal racers attempted to tell them off after she ran into a group of ‘mat rempits’ while travelling along the North-South Expressway.
‘If they pass by, I’ll roll down the windows and scold them!’
In a Facebook video by Belle Lee Jying, it showed her observing motorcycles who were passing by her vehicle.
She then tells viewers that she was looking out to see whether there was anyone who attempted to do dangerous stunts along the highway, such as the notorious ‘Superman’ stunt.
“Good thing they haven’t passed by me yet. If I were to see anyone ‘flying’, I’ll definitely roll down the window and scold them!” she declared.
Made good on her word
Not long after, Belle saw that a group of ‘mat rempits‘ were coming her way while performing the ‘Superman’ stunt, with one of them eventually overtaking her vehicle in a separate video.
True to her word, Belle wound down her car window and yelled ‘Bahaya!’ (dangerous in Malay) at the ‘mat rempit‘ but her voice got drowned out by the strong winds.
Undaunted by her failed attempt at getting the ‘mat rempit‘s attention, Belle proceeded to enter into ‘battle mode’ by tying up her hair before proceeding to yell again at the ‘mat rempit‘ that had passed by earlier.
She even picked up a clothes hanger to pose a more intimidating vibe and told her driver to stop by the highway so that she could give the ‘mat rempits‘ a proper scolding before the clip comes to an end.
Amused reactions
Belle’s reaction and method in confronting the ‘mat rempits‘ tickled netizens, who left comments over the clips.
One suggested that Belle should throw the hanger at the ‘mat rempit‘ instead of yelling at him from her car window.
Others told Belle to save her breath and sarcastically said that the ‘mat rempits‘ couldn’t wait to enter the afterlife.
