In the age of social media, it’s no secret that money can buy everything from blue verification ticks on Instagram to a substantial follower count.
Recently, a Malaysian influencer openly admitted to spending a staggering RM20,000 to inflate her Instagram followers.
Taking to her TikTok account, Syaniena Natasya (@shanienanatasyaaaa) revealed that her follower count surged from 40,000 to over 500,000 after this hefty investment.

Explaining her rationale, the influencer stated that she purchased the followers for professional reasons.
She acknowledged that she previously managed an account with an organic follower count of 375,000.
Syaniena further elaborated, “I bought them because there were companies looking to launch products and they want to see followers. Especially nowadays, kids will check our profiles and see how many followers we have and whether we have a blue tick.”

“It’s illogical that my followers went up from 40,000 to over 500,000 suddenly without paying.” she said, highlighting the absurdity of such rapid growth without financial backing.
Choosing to be transparent about her actions, Shaniena expressed her desire to avoid living a lie.
As it stands, she currently boasts over 697,000 followers on her Instagram account.
