A tragic incident took place at a vernacular Chinese primary school in Negeri Sembilan after the headmistress suddenly passed away while resting inside her office yesterday (Aug 17).
She was 44 years old at the time of her passing and leaves behind her husband and two children, reported China Press.
M’sian headmistress dies inside office while taking a break
Sin Chew Daily reported that Hor Wan Fong, the headmistress of SJKC Kg Baru Gedok, was overseeing an Entrepreneur Day event at the school when she felt unwell due to having a heavy breakfast and decided to rest inside her office.

When her colleagues knocked on her door and received no response, they found her in an unconscious state and immediately called for an ambulance.
At 9.25am, paramedics arrived at the scene and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Hor for 15 minutes before rushing her to the Gemencheh Clinic, where she passed away at 10.10am.
Tampin MP Dato’ Mohd Isam Bin Hj. Mohd Isa confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, writing he was scheduled to officiate the event at 11am but was informed of Hor’s passing.
Had no underlying health issues
Meanwhile, Tampin police chief Supt Amiruddien Sariman said police were alerted of the incident upon receiving a report at 11.25am.
He added the body has been sent to the Tampin Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death and that the case has been classified as sudden death (SDR).
A source told Sin Chew Daily that Hor had no underlying health issues and had just transferred from another school to be SJKC Kg Baru Gedok’s headmistress.
