A Malaysian groom has sparked widespread controversy after incorporating a street racing theme into his wedding.
The groom not only placed a motorcycle on stage as decoration but also performed the infamous ‘Superman’ stunt by lying flat on the bike, drawing intense discussion from netizens, many of whom slammed the act as inappropriate.
A video shared by social media user @mhmmdhsm on platform X captured the groom and his friends engaging in playful antics on the wedding stage.
‘Superman’ pose on stage
In the footage, the groom can be seen lying on the motorcycle in the ‘Superman’ position while posing for photos with his friends.

Adding to the spectacle, the bride was also present on stage, seen supporting her husband’s legs to help him maintain the stunt.
Meanwhile, a group of the groom’s friends stood below, holding another motorcycle, seemingly preparing to showcase additional racing stunts on stage.
Netizens’ reactions
The viral video has since triggered heated discussions online, with many netizens condemning the groom’s behavior as disrespectful and embarrassing, while others defend him for his choice at his own wedding.
“People want their wedding day to be the most beautiful memory of their lives, but he chooses to do this instead. If we say he’s acting like a rempit, some will get offended.”

“Wow, going all out with the ‘super’ style.”

“Why are people so bitter about a wedding he paid for himself? Did you contribute RM5K to his wedding? For the sake of their photos and moments, let them be. Sigh, do Malays really love to be jealous of their own people’s happiness? 😏”
