A simple request from a food delivery rider has moved many online after he asked for prayers for his young daughter instead of tips.

The story was shared by Threads user Ehhfieyra, who said the rider made the request after she placed an order.

While ordering food on Grab, the rider only asked for one thing, to please pray for his child. We may not be able to help much, but our prayers will reach, God willing. Let’s all pray for his child’s recovery and for things to be eased,” she wrote.

In it, the rider explained that his five year old daughter is currently battling blood cancer and humbly asked for prayers for her strength and recovery.

He also clarified that he was not asking for tips or sympathy, but simply hoped for prayers for his child.

Netizens flooded the comments section with well wishes and prayers, with some expressing their desire to offer financial help.

“May God ease everything for him. I can’t imagine what he’s going through,” one user wrote.

Another commenter claimed to know the rider personally, describing him as a kind individual who often helps others despite his own struggles.
