For three Malaysian Grab driver partners, travelling to Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam was more than just a trip.
It was their first time exploring these destinations, experiencing Southeast Asia through the eyes of local communities, vibrant cultures and unique city landscapes.

From scenic coasts to buzzing streets, each stop offered something new to discover.
In support of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, Grab Malaysia partnered with KS Lagi to launch Rakan Grab Jelajah ASEAN, a three part web series that follows these drivers on their cross border journey.
With KS Lagi host Shahril Hamdan leading the way, they discovered Grab services and saw how drivers and businesses across the region are moving smoother, faster and more efficiently than ever with Grab.

Connecting Cultures and Cities Across ASEAN
Each country welcomed them with its own charm, from scenic Bali to lively Bangkok and coastal Da Nang.

Along the way, they met fellow driver-partners, shared travel moments and experienced the warmth of ASEAN hospitality.
The series also launches at a meaningful moment, as Malaysia concludes its ASEAN Chairmanship which highlighted inclusivity and sustainability across the region.
3 Drivers. 3 Countries. One Adventure Filled With Firsts.

The journey features three Malaysian driver partners from different backgrounds. Muhamad Syukri bin Ghazali, a part time driver from Jerantut, Pahang who joined Grab in January 2025, travelled to Bali for the first time.
Muhamad Aiman bin Muhamad Shamsudin, a part time driver from Ipoh, Perak who has been with Grab for two years, experienced his first ever trip abroad.
Meanwhile, Christine Wee Seow Ling, a full time driver from Kemaman, Terengganu who has been driving with Grab for one year, explored Da Nang for the very first time.
Together, they spent days exploring new foods, landmarks and cultures while discovering how familiar Grab features are improving mobility in every country they visited.
Hyperlocal Grab Services That Made Their Journey Smoother

Throughout the trip, the drivers were also introduced to a range of Grab features powered by real on ground insight, including:
- Grab EV Bike in Bali, an eco-friendly mobility option that supports more climate-conscious transportation
- Grab Assistant in Bangkok, an on-demand concierge service that helps users run errands and manage everyday tasks easily
- Grab Benches in Da Nang, a simple yet impactful innovation that streamlines ride-hailing and deliveries by using uniquely numbered benches as easy-to-find POIs, especially for GrabFood orders along the beach
This approach supports ASEAN’s growing commitment to artificial intelligence, while also aligning with Malaysia’s direction on EV adoption and the Gig Workers Bill.
Grab also continues to focus on creating opportunities for women, Persons with Disabilities and underserved communities.
