Most Malaysians have, at some point, used a water dipper or ladle to take a bath. It’s a household staple, mainly used for pouring water over yourself.
But one Malaysian has taken this tool to a whole new level, showing that it can also double as a dinner bowl.
Recently, a Malaysian father shared his shock and amusement after discovering that his son was eating instant noodles straight from a water dipper at college.
Taking to Facebook, Dr Mohd Izhar Ariff posted a picture that his son had sent him, captioning it with a mix of surprise and pride.
“I was shocked when I saw the picture my son sent me. He’s definitely a real man… Just like his dad back in the day when he was studying hahahaa,” he wrote.
Netizens shared their similar experiences too
The post quickly went viral, racking up over 5,000 likes and thousands of comments from amused netizens who could relate to the story.
“Back in my day at Matrik UIAM Lembah Pantai, we made Maggi using a pail and shared it with the whole dorm.”
“This reminds me of my brother eating out of a pail.”
“My son used a pail and a broken hanger to eat. It’s not like they don’t have proper containers, they do. They just enjoy creating these mischievous memories with their friends.”
