An Indian family celebrated Diwali with fireworks, but it was their commitment to cleaning up afterward that truly caught the internet’s attention.
According to a video posted on TikTok by user “ARVIN 9300Jb,” red firecracker debris covered the residential garden path, left behind from the festive display.
Cleaning up the firecracker debris
The video captures two men from the family, shirtless and armed with brooms, meticulously sweeping up the remnants.
Despite it being their public holiday, they remained committed to the cleaning while seeming relaxed and still very much in the festive spirit—one of them even chatting on his phone while working.
They even placed a cardboard box nearby to gather the firecracker debris, ensuring that their celebrations didn’t leave a mess for neighbors.
Netizens’ reactions
Their actions drew admiration from netizens, who praised the men for their sense of responsibility.
Many saw them as role models, commending their thoughtfulness in enjoying the festivities while also respecting the community by leaving the space clean.
“This is how it should be, regardless of race, knowing how to set off fireworks and then clean up, maintaining cleanliness together. 👍”
“Good attitude, bro. Unlike my neighbor, after setting off fireworks, they just leave the trash there. When I sweep in front of them, they act as if they’ve done nothing wrong. 😅”
“Good job, guys. Sis loves neighbors like this.”
