Teaching kindness starts at home, and one family is proving that it doesn’t take much to make a difference.
From feeding stray cats to helping stray dogs, small acts of compassion can ripple through generations—and TikTok user @airis.yasminn is leading by example.
M’sian family feeds stray dogs with daughter
In a now-viral video, Yasmin, her husband, and their toddler were seen feeding stray dogs together.
The wholesome clip melted hearts online, with viewers applauding the family for not only helping animals but also showing their child the importance of empathy.
For Yasmin, this wasn’t just a random act. It’s a lesson she learned from her own parents, she told WeirdKaya.
Since I was little, my mother and father taught me to do good to all animals. So, when I had a daughter, I did the same thing,” she shared.
Initially, the family started by rescuing stray cats, but over time, their love for animals grew. “We eventually started feeding stray dogs too,” she added.
What’s even more touching is how their toddler has embraced this kindness.
‘Not all street animals are wild; they deserve to be loved too’
Yasmin noticed her daughter’s love for animals early on.
“She’d always ask for animal-shaped toys—cats, dogs, elephants, rabbits, birds—you name it. She’d say things like, ‘I love puppies, I love cats,’” Yasmin recalled.
The toddler’s enthusiasm grew as the family began regularly feeding stray animals.
“Now, she’s the one asking my husband and me to go back to the feeding spots,” Yasmin laughed.
But beyond helping animals, Yasmin hopes their actions inspire others to see stray animals differently.
Not all street animals are wild; they deserve to be loved too. If you can’t love them, it’s okay, just don’t hurt them,” she said.
Her message also extends to other parents: “Teach your children to be kind to animals. There’s such great value in it.”
