“It breaks our hearts to share that our beloved teammate and brother, Tee Chun Guan, passed away suddenly last night during a basketball session.

“We’ve shared the court with Guan for over 20 years—from young boys learning the game to veterans still chasing that love for basketball. He was more than just a teammate. He was family. Always dependable, always smiling, and always giving his all—on and off the court.

The bond we built over decades of games, sweat, and memories is something words can’t fully describe. Losing him like this, while doing what he loved most, is a painful reminder of how fragile life can be.”

A formidable player on the court

According to China Press, Tee, nicknamed ‘Fei Bo’, built his reputation within the local basketball community as a versatile and formidable player, where he was praised for his offensive and defensive skills, as well as his three-point shots.

Given his skills, it’s of little wonder that he was a player for state teams, including Kuala Lumpur and Perak, as well as the national youth and backup squads.
