M’sian E-Hailing Driver Refuses To Take 4 Passengers Despite Four-Seater Booking, Claims It Will Damage The Car

As a result, one of the teenagers was left stranded and unable to continue the journey with their friends.
A Malaysian woman has taken to social media to call out an e-hailing driver who allegedly refused to allow four passengers to board, despite the ride being booked for a four seater vehicle.

According to the woman, the incident took place in Shah Alam after a group of teenagers booked a standard e hailing ride meant for four passengers.

However, when the driver arrived at the pickup location, he reportedly told them that only three passengers were allowed to get in, forcing one person to be left behind.

The driver allegedly justified his decision by claiming there was a new rule in place and said he was worried that his Perodua Alza would be damaged if he carried a full load of passengers.

The situation reportedly became more frustrating when the passengers were told they could not cancel the ride because the driver had already arrived at the destination.

As a result, one of the teenagers was left stranded and unable to continue the journey with their friends.

In a post shared on Threads, the woman left a blunt message for the driver, reminding him to be honest in his work and warning that deceiving others would eventually come with consequences.

Her post quickly gained traction online, with many netizens urging affected passengers to report the driver to the e hailing platform so that further investigation could be carried out.

Several users also shared similar experiences, claiming they had encountered drivers who refused to take the full number of passengers despite accepting bookings for four seater vehicles.

Netizens pointed out that a standard four seater booking is meant to accommodate four passengers excluding the driver, adding that any claims suggesting otherwise were misleading and unacceptable.
