E-hailing rides are usually about getting from Point A to Point B quickly and comfortably.

But sometimes, these rides turn into unexpected adventures—for the driver, at least.

In the case of one e-hailing driver, his car became a makeshift nap station for three passengers who were just too tired to care about their destination.

Wake-up Call? More like Mission Impossible

Amirul Auzai, a seasoned e-hailing driver, shared a hilariously baffling experience with his passengers.

It all started as a routine ride in Cheras, but halfway through the trip, Amirul noticed the three men in his backseat had drifted off into dreamland.

Now, having passengers doze off isn’t exactly new to Amirul.

But what caught him off guard was their Olympic-level commitment to staying asleep.

By the time they arrived at their destination, they were still out cold.

At first, Amirul tried to wake them gently. A small nudge to the middle passenger’s knee? No response.

A loud clap of his hands? Nada. These guys were in a sleep so deep, they could have ignored a fire alarm.

A plan (and passenger) falls flat

Running out of options, Amirul came up with what he thought was a genius idea: open the rear door and let gravity do its job.

One of the passengers was conveniently leaning against the door, so Amirul figured the movement might wake him up.

Did it work? Not even close.

The passenger barely flinched, instead muttering for Amirul to leave him alone so he could continue his nap.

He even tried to shut the door back himself—truly committed to his sleep goals.

‘I’d never had passengers who slept so deeply before’

Speaking with WeirdKaya, Amirul couldn’t help but laugh at the situation.

“At first, I thought it was okay because passengers falling asleep isn’t unusual. But when they didn’t wake up even after I tried, I was stunned for a moment, wondering what to do,” Amirul said, laughing. “It was surprising because I’d never had passengers who slept so deeply before!”

When asked about the passengers’ reactions after waking up, Amirul revealed that one of them, dressed in a white shirt, humorously refused to leave the car even when his friends tried waking him.

“He just said he didn’t want to get out,” Amirul shared. “In the end, his friend had to pull him out of the car!”

Despite the delay, Amirul wasn’t frustrated.

“Not really. For me, it was entertaining! Work should be fun, not stressful,” he said, describing the incident as a lighthearted moment during his day.

Reflecting on the experience, Amirul found it more amusing than annoying.

“I’ve had passengers fall asleep before, but this was definitely a first—customers who just wouldn’t wake up!”

Amirul’s video quickly went viral, with viewers finding the passengers’ antics equal parts relatable and hilarious.

Many chimed in with creative suggestions for waking them up, from blaring music to cranking up the air conditioning.
