A viral video circulating on social media shows a car engaging in a highly dangerous maneuver on a Malaysian highway, prompting widespread criticism from netizens.
The driver, after apparently taking the wrong exit, decided to reverse the car on the busy road and switch lanes, forcing vehicles behind to come to a halt.
Incident caught on camera
The video posted on TikTok, which was taken at a highway exit, shows a sedan stopped at a junction where the lanes diverge.

The signboard at the location indicates that the car was initially on the route heading toward Alor Setar and George Town, Penang.
Adjacent to this lane is a separate route leading to Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh, Perak.
Instead of proceeding, the driver reversed the car and crossed over a flat grassy divider between the two directions, ultimately entering the lane toward Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh.
This reckless action left other road users stunned and forced vehicles behind to stop abruptly, increasing the risk of a collision.

Dangerous driving sparks criticism
The video has garnered widespread attention online, with many criticizing the driver’s dangerous behavior.
“It’s dangerous if there’s a car following behind.”

“Pity that guy… so nervous for the car behind him… ended up climbing over the curb.”

“Drivers these days do all sorts of things on the road, it’s like a playground now.”
