A 33-year-old doctor is expected to be charged at the Magistrate’s Court today for allegedly killing his wife and young son with his bare hands.
According to The Star and Malay Mail, the murder took place at a house in Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor Bahru, on Dec 31, 2025.
Neck wounds & bluish marks found on victims
Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad told reporters that the suspect’s wife, who works as an accountant, was found with a slash wound on her neck.

As for the four-year-old boy, he had “bluish marks on his face believed to be caused by smothering”.
Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel and their bodies were sent to Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI) for a post-mortem.
Autopsy results later revealed that the suspect’s wife died due to asphyxia-related causes, while his son died from smothering, leading police to believe criminal elements were involved.
Faces murder charges
On Jan 3, police arrested the suspect, a locally practising medical doctor, and remanded him for 13 days. However, he tested negative for drugs and had no prior criminal record.

Several items, including a knife and a pillow with its cover, were also seized to assist in investigations.
Ab Rahaman said the suspect will face two counts under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Additionally, he also faces one count under Section 201 for concealing evidence or giving false information relating to a crime, and one count under Section 186 for voluntarily obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duties.
