You’ve seen food delivery riders speeding through traffic to get your meal on time, but in Melaka, a group of them became unexpected heroes when they chased down a suspected snatch thief who had been disguising himself as one of them.
The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, reportedly used a p-hailing uniform to blend in while carrying out a series of robberies.
But his luck ran out when several actual riders noticed something was off and decided to act.

According to NST, the chase began at a supermarket in Bachang and lasted about 12km, ending in Malim where the man was finally intercepted.
A video of the scene shows several riders surrounding and restraining the suspect before handing him over to police.

Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspect has prior criminal records.
Netizens have been praising the riders online, calling them “real-life superheroes” for their bravery and quick action.
