Private hospital stay hits RM150,000 in just 10 days
According to the woman, her father had been receiving treatment at a private hospital for almost a month, where medical bills quickly piled up into six figures, reported mStar.
“For the first ten days, my father had to be admitted to a private hospital because we had no choice and the bill reached RM150,000.
“Takaful only covered up to RM100,000 and my mother had to come up with the rest,” she shared on Threads.
He has since been transferred to a government hospital’s ICU and is slowly regaining consciousness after weeks of treatment.
Woke up asking how to earn money online
Despite still being in critical condition, the first thing on his mind was not his own health.
What broke his daughter the most was his quiet request: he asked her to teach him how to do affiliate marketing so he could earn income to help pay the bills.
“My chest feels tight with sadness because my father asked me to teach him how to do affiliate to find income,” she wrote.
Affiliate marketing allows individuals to promote products or services online through a unique link, earning commissions for purchases or actions made through that link without needing to keep any stock. It is often used as a simple way to generate passive income.
He feared unpaid bills and staff salaries
The daughter revealed that her father’s worry ran deeper than medical costs. He was also concerned about settling unpaid wages for his employees.
“It is the first time my father has ever asked for my help. He always puts others first and always helps people.
“I am sad because I cannot help much. My siblings have not settled down. They are still studying.
“My father cannot be discharged anytime soon, so that is the only way to help him,” she said, admitting she feels lost about her family’s situation.
Her emotional post quickly gained attention online, with many Malaysians offering sympathy and prayers for the family.
