The incident came to light when the woman shared their ordeal on social media.

According to her post, she bought a set of burgers from a well-known fast-food restaurant few days ago.

She noticed mould on the buns of her burger halfway through eating it.

Unfortunately, by the time she realized this, her boyfriend had already finished his burger, which also appeared to have mould.

Her boyfriend later suffered from food poisoning, experiencing severe stomach pain, confirming that his burger buns were also mouldy. The woman immediately reported the issue to the restaurant management.

Unsatisfied with the management’s response

After reporting the incident to Jollibee, the customer was shocked by the response.

The management claimed that several branches were facing similar issues.

Outraged, the customer questioned, “How can several branches have the same problem? Shouldn’t you be checking your hygiene standards?”

Initially, the management promised to take responsibility, but later shifted the blame, stating that any complaints must be made within 24 hours of the incident.

The customer was further frustrated by the fact that it took the management three days to respond. She felt that the management was trying to avoid responsibility.

The management eventually promised to investigate the matter but only responded three days later.

We have reached out to the fast-food chain for a comment but have yet to receive a response.
