Gone are the days of getting the standard slices of cake or chocolates in wedding goodie bags.
One creative couple is shaking up the tradition by giving their guests potted plants instead.
In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, the couple showcased rows of green plants—ranging from daun sup (celery leaves) to other small potted herbs—carefully packed and arranged for their wedding guests.
The caption humorously reads: “Pergi kenduri kahwin dapat goodies kek ❌. Pergi kenduri kahwin dapat pokok ✅” (Going to a wedding and getting cake? Nope. Going to a wedding and getting a plant? Yes!).
Their sustainable and thoughtful gesture was well-received by many online.

Many said it’s a meaningful and eco-friendly option, while others couldn’t help but appreciate the effort and creativity behind it.

Some even joked about the budget-friendliness of the idea.
However, the creator clarified that while the plants might be more affordable than cakes, preparing them required extra effort and care.
