A hotpot restaurant in Petaling Jaya recently took to social media to call out a couple who allegedly walked off without paying for their meal.
In the Facebook post, the restaurant said that the couple came to its outlet in Casa Tropicana on Tuesday (Apr 7) at 8.36pm and dined there until its last call at 11.45pm.
According to the receipt, the couple ordered a beef dish, herbal mushroom soup, four bottles of beer, and sauces—all of which amounted to RM244.40.

In the caption, the restaurant also stated that the woman drove a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) and revealed the car plate number in hopes that the couple will return and settle the bill.
Reactions
In the comment section, netizens questioned the need to censor the couple’s faces, saying that it defeated the restaurant’s purpose of tracking them down.

Some also slammed the couple for their “cheapskate” attitude by refusing to pay for their meal.

However, one urged for grace to be shown towards the couple, saying that it was “normal” for people to forget paying the bill.

Whether or not it was done on purpose, it’s not right to run away without paying for your meal!
