M’sian couple crashes car into economy rice stall by accident
According to a report by China Press, the unfortunate incident took place yesterday (Sept 26) at 11.20am at an economy rice stall named Pinji Centre Point Restaurant in Ipoh.

Apparently, the elderly couple were parking their car when the 89-year-old man accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead, causing the car to lurch forward and crash straight into the stall.
A nearby motorcycle was caught in the crash but it only sustained minor damages and was able to be driven away not long after.
Fortunately, no one was hurt by the incident as it wasn’t the peak hour at the time and diners were seen continuing to eat while casting curious glances at the car.

Couple treated to free meal by owner
Although they weren’t injured, the couple were visibly distraught after the collision. In an attempt to calm them down, the economy rice stall owner gave them free food.
Not long after, their relatives came to check on them and wanted to pay for the meal but the owner insisted on giving it to them for free and even helped to move the car out from the stall.

A group of police officers turned up at the scene after receiving a report about the crash and left once they conducted their investigations and ensured that the area was safe.
