The start of 2025 didn’t go as smoothly as Malaysian content creator Phei Yong had planned – he ran out of fuel on the way back from JB to KL.
It’s a familiar situation for most of us, you forget to refuel despite having plenty of time to do so.
The content creator shared that, while he had stopped at an R&R and picked up sausages and corn, he forgot to refuel. To his surprise, he received help from a kind auxiliary police officer at Plus Highway at 4.30am.

The story was shared on his Facebook account Phei Yong 培永, where he wrote that he forgot to refuel his car, even when he had the time to grab a bite at an R&R. With the fuel running low, he found himself stuck on the highway.

Friendly heroes save the day
At 4.30am, stranded on the highway with no fuel and no immediate solution, Phei Yong’s luck turned when he was helped by two friendly auxiliary police.
Despite it being the wee hours of the morning, the auxiliary policemen’s calm and kind nature made the situation a lot easier to handle.

Not only did they help Phei Yong get the fuel, but they also took the time to make the experience feel more memorable.
With the crisis finally averted, Phei Yong thanked the policemen and asked if he could take a photo with them to create a lasting memory.
To his delight, the auxiliary policemen agreed and cheekily reminded Phei Yong to use the hashtag #PlusMalaysia when posting about the experience – something which he did.
Towards the end of the post, Phei Yong said he was impressed by how everything was settled in less than 30 minutes and praised the policemen for their speed and efficiency.
