One company’s annual dinner took an unexpected (and hilarious) turn—by handing out awards to staff who sleep the most and take the most medical leave (MCs).
Not your average annual dinner
While most companies use their annual dinners to recognise top performers, this organisation decided to flip the script with a light-hearted and relatable twist.
In a viral TikTok video posted by the OP, netizens were left stunned—and very entertained—when awards were given out for “Anugerah Staf Paling Banyak MC” (Staff with the Most MCs) and “Anugerah Staf Paling Kuat Tidur” (Staff Who Sleeps the Most).
The OP told WeirdKaya that to mark the compnay’s 10th anniversary, the team wanted to do something totally out of the box.
So instead of the usual “Top Sales” awards, they came up with humorous, Malaysian-style categories that everyone could relate to.
The boss is the real mastermind behind the idea,” she added.
Unsurprisingly, the clip quickly caught attention online, with many netizens saying they wouldn’t mind working at a company where napping on the job might just win you a trophy.
