Under Malaysian law (and human logic), a person can only hold a driving license for one type of vehicle and must apply for a separate license if they want to drive a different vehicle.
A local man tried to beat the system by buying a driving license that covered not one, but three vehicles simultaneously before he was eventually caught by the authorities.

According to a Facebook post shared by the Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Ampang Jaya District Police Traffic Department, an anti-drunk driving operation codenamed ‘Op Mabuk’ was held on Jalan Pandan Utama on Saturday (May 17).
During the operation, police stopped a motorcycle ridden by a man at a roadblock and began inspecting his vehicle. They also asked him to show his driving license as part of the procedure.
To their surprise, they discovered that his driving license possessed a Class B2, D, and E driving license, which are licenses for light motorcycles, cars, and lorries respectively.
A check on the man’s license was then run on both the Mobile Compound Online Payment System (MCOPS) and Road Transport Department (JPJ), where not a single record was found.
Upon interrogation, the man admitted to purchasing the driving license through a social media application for RM2,700.
Faces jail time & fine
The man was eventually brought to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at the Ampang Jaya police station for further action., where the case is being investigated under Section 108 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for holding a fake driving license.
If found guilty, the offender may be fined not less than RM5,000 and not more than RM20,000, or imprisoned for a term not less than one year and not exceeding five years, or both.
Authorities also reminded the public not to fall for advertisements or sales of identification documents on social media platforms as it will lead to huge legal problems if caught.
