A Malaysian woman has taken to social media to share her frustration after encountering several men seated in a women-only coach on the MRT Kajang Line.
According to her post, the train was not crowded at the time, and there were still plenty of empty seats available in other coaches.
Men allegedly refused to move despite being told
She explained that she and her husband approached the men politely to inform them that the coach was designated specifically for women.
However, instead of cooperating, the men allegedly responded that they “don’t care” and continued to remain seated throughout the journey.

Photos shared in the post show multiple men occupying seats in the coach, including one who appeared to be seated next to a woman.
The woman added that some of the men justified their actions by saying they were with their wives or sisters.
However, she pointed out that this does not change the purpose of having a women-only coach.
She also shared that her husband chose to respect the rules by not entering the coach, even though she was inside.

‘It defeats the purpose of having such a space’
Expressing her disappointment, the OP said the women-only coach exists to provide a safer and more comfortable environment for female passengers.
She questioned whether other women would feel safe if unfamiliar men chose to sit beside them in a space meant exclusively for women.
When individuals knowingly disregard this, it undermines the very purpose of having such a facility.”
Netizens in the comments shared that there are actually ways to report such incidents quickly, with some saying that contacting RapidKL through their hotline or WhatsApp can lead to swift action.
Some expressed frustration over the mindset behind such behaviour, pointing out that similar issues happen in spaces like women’s parking spots, where rules meant for safety are often ignored.
