Many people grow up imagining a future where they are able to buy a spacious home filled with parents, siblings, and even pets, creating a lively household where the entire family can live together.
According to Moretify, a Malaysian man has managed to turn that dream into reality after years of hard work, as he recently completed the construction of a large family home built specifically to fulfil his parents’ long-standing wish of living together with the whole family under one roof.
Priorities family unity and togetherness
In a Facebook post, Tan shared that the house was not built for personal luxury alone, but rather as a space where multiple family members could stay together comfortably, reflecting his desire to prioritise family unity and togetherness.

The property reportedly sits on a 50,000-square-foot plot of land, with the house itself covering approximately 30,000 square feet, making it a massive standalone bungalow that immediately drew attention for its sheer size.
Beyond its scale, the home features a total of 28 rooms and around 40 parking spaces, which prompted many netizens to jokingly remark that the parking area looked large enough not just for cars, but for something far bigger.
Set off three minute-long firecracker display
To mark the move-in day, Tan and his family held a housewarming celebration that reflected the grand nature of the home, with videos circulating online showing a long string of red firecrackers being set off continuously for about three minutes.

Based on footage shared online, the house appears to be inspired by traditional courtyard-style architecture, with buildings arranged around a central open space, a layout that is commonly associated with large family living and shared communal areas.
The scale of the project sparked even more discussion online after one netizen, who claimed to be part of the renovation team, commented that the renovation costs alone had already reached seven figures, further highlighting the magnitude of the home.

Netizens’ reactions
Many netizens expressed admiration for Tan’s dedication to his parents and praised him for using his success to fulfil a family-oriented dream, noting that such gestures are becoming increasingly uncommon in modern times.
‘This is really great. Everyone has a place to sleep when they come back.’

‘So blessed to be able to have multiple generations living together. Congratulations!’

‘Congratulations. Can we go and visit?’
