A young boy in Ampang Jaya was left injured and shaken after a female classmate assaulted him over his walking speed.
Police have since been notified of the assault and are investigating the matter.
Slapped for walking too slowly to toilet
Speaking to Harian Metro, the boy’s father, Syed Rosli Syed Harman, said he and his wife received a call from the school on Monday (Jan 19) and were told their son had suffered a nose injury.
When they rushed over, the headmaster told them the incident occurred when their son and his classmates were walking to the toilet.
“My son was said to be walking in front, while the female classmate was behind him. It was understood that because my son was walking slowly, the classmate became annoyed and slapped him across the face.”

Classmate transferred to another class
Syed Rosli said he immediately lodged a police report and took his son to Hospital Ampang for treatment, where he was given two days of medical leave.
He added his son was left deeply traumistised by the assault and now refuses to go to school but added he will try his best to convince him otherwise at the end of his medical leave.

“As for the female classmate, the headmaster informed me an internal investigation would be conducted and that the student will be transferred to another class to maintain harmony.
“The school is also looking to arrange a meeting with the classmate’s parents, but I’m not ready to meet them and will leave the matter to the police to investigate,” he said.
Syed Rosli also called for CCTVs for be installed throughout the school to help with investigations and ensure justice for all parties.
