A Malaysian business owner has shared how an act of betrayal by a former employee left her with emotional scars that remain years later, even though the stolen money was eventually replaced.
Money saved for father’s treatment allegedly stolen
The woman claimed that a former employee ran off with more than RM70,000 in sales proceeds around three years ago.

According to her, the money was not meant for luxury spending or personal indulgence. Instead, it had been carefully set aside to fund specialist treatment at a private hospital for her father, who was battling serious health issues at the time.
She said her sole intention then was to give her father the best possible care while he was still around.

Betrayal took a heavy emotional toll
The woman shared that the incident severely affected her mental health, especially as it happened when she was in her third trimester of pregnancy.
She described falling into deep emotional distress and said the experience almost caused her to lose her sanity.

Despite now being financially better off than before, she admitted that the pain has not faded, particularly after recently encountering the former employee living what appeared to be a happy life with her husband.
As reported by mStar, the woman openly acknowledged feelings of resentment and anger that still linger.
She said that although the stolen amount was later replaced, it could never undo what was lost during that critical period of her life.
To her, the money represented time, hope, and the chance to ease her father’s suffering, something she feels was taken away from her unfairly.
Allegations of breach of trust and lack of remorse
The woman further alleged that the ex employee had been committing breach of trust from early on in her employment, with the situation escalating during a festive sales period.
She claimed the stolen money was later used to purchase a car in cash.
What added to her disappointment, she said, was that the former employee allegedly showed no remorse and even lodged a police report after the matter became widely discussed in a local residents’ Facebook group.
For the woman, the incident remains a painful reminder that some losses go far beyond money, leaving wounds that time and repayment cannot fully heal.
