Residents of a quiet neighbourhood in Kampar, Perak, were shaken to the core after the body of an elderly woman was found inside a rubbish-cluttered house.
According to NST, the discovery was made yesterday (Mar 4) at Taman Golden Dragon near Kampar.
Front entrance blocked by rubbish pile
According to Perak Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, he said an emergency call was made at 3.22pm.
The team was informed that the victim, a 61-year-old Malaysian-born woman with United States citizenship, was found unresponsive inside a locked double-storey house.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they saw that the house’s front entrance was entirely blocked off by a huge pile of old items and rubbish—a classic sign of extreme hoarding.
They were then forced to break open the back door and discovered the victim’s body amid the cluttered mess.
She was pronounced dead by medical personnel present at the scene before firefighters arrived.

After removing the woman’s body from the house, it was handed over to police fore further action.
Police have classified the case as sudden death and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Recently, a mother and her son, who were believed to have been dead for days, were found inside a Penang flat:
