A 30-year-old man who was killed in a road accident last Sunday (Jan 4) was just about 300 metres from his parents’ home in Johor Jaya, leaving his family devastated.
According to his father Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim, the location of the accident was extremely close to their residence.
The accident site is only about 300 metres from our home. We never thought that Mohd Shahril Asyran’s intention to visit us would not come true.”

She would make his favourite dish every time he came home
Abdul Aziz, who is also the chairman of Surau Al-Taqwa, said he was deeply saddened as he did not get the chance to see his son after the accident.
He explained that his son was rushed into the red zone due to severe injuries and was later informed that Mohd Shahril Asyran had passed away.
Every time my son was coming home, my wife would make a special effort to cook his favourite dish, sambal chicken,” he said.
He added that during a family gathering at home last month, his son had even played chess with his nephews.
