According to a recent ranking by U.S. News & World Report, Malaysia stands tall at 5th place worldwide and secures 4th place in Asia for being a budget-friendly destination.

Joining Malaysia on this prestigious list are several Southeast Asian neighbours.
Thailand, famous for its street food and beaches, claimed the top spot, followed by Vietnam in 2nd place.
India snagged 3rd place, while the Philippines ranked 4th, just ahead of Malaysia.
Other countries that made the top 10 include Indonesia, Mexico, China, Turkiye, and Bangladesh.

The results were based on perceptions of affordability, with respondents evaluating the cost of living, travel expenses, and overall value for money.

Whether it’s savouring a plate of nasi lemak at a local eatery, exploring vibrant street markets, or experiencing luxury on a budget, the country has something to offer for everyone.
Its strategic location in Southeast Asia and excellent connectivity also make it a convenient and cost-effective travel hub for international tourists.
