A senior member of Malaysia’s well-known dairy brand Farm Fresh has died after a helicopter crash in the Philippines.
The company confirmed the news in an internal letter shared today.
The victim, identified as Jacob Mathan, was a Farm Director at Farm Fresh and had worked with the company for more than a decade.
Helicopter crash happened during site visit trip
According to the company statement, Jacob passed away at 7.20 am after the helicopter he was travelling in crashed in Pililla, Rizal Province.

The trip was part of a work visit to inspect a potential farm site. The aircraft reportedly encountered engine trouble before the crash occurred.
Farm Fresh also confirmed that Shawn, the company’s CEO for the Philippines, was injured in the incident. However, he is currently in stable condition and receiving treatment.
The company asked staff and the public to keep Shawn and Jacob’s family in their thoughts during this difficult time.
Jacob spent 13 years at company
Jacob joined Farm Fresh 13 years ago as a university intern at Mawar Farm before rising through the ranks to become Farm Director.

Farm Fresh founder Loi Tuan Ee described him as a dedicated team member who helped grow the company’s dairy farm division.
Jacob joined the Farm Fresh family as a university intern 13 years ago. He showed a strong sense of responsibility, great aptitude to learn and most importantly, he was a genuinely good person.
“Over the years, Jacob has done very well professionally, climbing up the ranks and became our Farm Director. He was very affable, respectful, and well-mannered to everyone.”
Jacob also worked closely with government agencies such as the Department of Veterinary Services and the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC).
Loi also said Jacob played a key role in building strong relationships with government agencies and industry partners.
The company added that Jacob will be remembered for his contributions and dedication throughout his 13 years with Farm Fresh.
