As we all know, Rapid KL extended its train and bus services until 3.00 am and 3.30 am, respectively, for New Year’s Eve celebrations, prompting many to opt for public transport to avoid the inevitable traffic jams.
Recently, a Malaysian woman standing in a long queue to board the MRT train was touched by the kind gesture of an MRT staff member.
Understanding how hot and uncomfortable the crowded station was, the staff began fanning the passengers using a signboard, much to the delight of everyone around.

A moment of kindness
This touching moment was shared by the woman, known as @sy4.rfh on TikTok, and it instantly garnered attention from netizens who praised the staff for their thoughtfulness.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the woman shared her experience.
After celebrating New Year’s at TRX, she and her companions began their journey home.
She said the trip was quite crowded as many people were heading back via the MRT at the TRX exchange station. Due to the large crowd, MRT staff had to carefully manage the flow of people to prevent accidents or severe congestion.
She described the atmosphere as hot and tiring, with many waiting in line for extended periods.
Amidst the exhaustion, she noticed a few kind individuals who took it upon themselves to fan others around them. Although the breeze was faint, she felt the act of kindness carried a powerful sense of compassion.
Their thoughtful gesture truly moved me,” she said. “I felt compelled to capture that beautiful moment on camera.”
‘I felt so touched’
When asked how she felt witnessing the moment, she said,
Actually, I felt so touched by their actions. It wasn’t just the woman with the signboard, but also another staff member inside who did the same thing. It’s rare nowadays to meet people who are this considerate of their surroundings, isn’t it?”

This heartwarming story reminds us that even the smallest gestures can make a world of difference, especially in challenging situations.
