The Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot, worth a record-breaking RM121.7 million, has created over 60 millionaires in Malaysia.
The historic draw on Jan 10 saw the largest lottery prize in the country’s history, surpassing the previous record of RM97.75 million set in 2022.
According to STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, six winners from Selangor and 45 from Negri Sembilan claimed a substantial portion of the jackpot, totaling RM104.77 million.
Had strong feeling before buying the lottery
The remaining RM16.96 million was distributed among 17 tickets sold in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor.
One Selangor winner, a 30-year-old entrepreneur, claimed RM34,923,156.10 along with a System Play bonus of RM269,168.
He credited his overseas trip for inspiring the winning numbers: 5, 38, 39, 42, 46, and 57.
I had a strong feeling I would win when the jackpot exceeded RM100 million,” he said, adding plans to invest his winnings.
A restaurant owner, 38, from Selangor was among the first-time players who joined the draw for its unprecedented prize.
Spending RM260 on 130 sets of Lucky Pick numbers, he called it “first-timer’s luck.”
Negri Sembilan’s 45 winners shared RM34,923,156.10 and a System Play bonus of RM220,240.
Their success came from a “Lot System” devised by a 55-year-old construction contractor.
The system divided ticket costs into 60 “lots,” enabling friends and colleagues to buy shares, with each participant receiving winnings proportionate to their contribution.
This jackpot’s staggering amount was further bolstered by the EZ-Bet play method, where each winning ticket earned RM997,804.20.
With over 60 winners nationwide, the RM121.7 million prize has rewritten Malaysian lottery history and ignited hopes for future jackpots.
