The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a Level 1 heatwave alert for seven areas in the peninsula, warning residents of high temperatures expected over the next three days, with maximum daily temperatures ranging between 35°C and 37°C.
In a post on Facebook, MetMalaysia stated that the affected areas include Larut, Matang, and Kuala Kangsar in Perak; Gombak and Petaling in Selangor; Putrajaya; as well as Maran and Temerloh in Pahang.
The department emphasized that these regions are projected to experience consistent temperatures of at least 35°C for three consecutive days.

MetMalaysia has advised residents in these areas to take precautionary measures, such as staying hydrated, limiting outdoor activities, and being mindful of heat-related health risks.
