Yesterday (Oct 14), a secondary school in Bandar Utama watched a tragedy unfold before its eyes, where a 14-year-old student stabbed a 16-year-old girl, resulting in her death.
Following the tragedy, there was an outpouring of grief and shock from the public, who couldn’t fathom such an incident taking place at a school.
Bouquets seen placed at Bandar Utama school
Today, several bouquets were laid at the school’s gate by members of the public who wanted to pay their final respects to the victim.
One of them, whose child was a student at the school, told NST she placed the bouquet as she wanted to “get some closure” for herself.

Another bouquet was also seen being laid at the school, where it had a note with the words “May your soul rest in peace” written on it.

Police reveal new details
Meanwhile, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar told reporters at a press conference that investigations revealed the suspect had secretly longed for the victim for years, even though both of them were from different classes.
He added both of them didn’t have a prior relationship or interaction before the fatal stabbing.
As for the knife and kerambit used in the attack, he said the suspect had bought it online.
