Right after rolling out an Ayam Goreng Set below RM14, McDonald’s Malaysia has announced a new special offer, reducing the price of their 5-piece fried chicken meal.

Recently, McDonald’s Malaysia faced a severe backlash due to the public’s support for Palestine, leading to a substantial decrease in sales.
This includes the Ayam Goreng McD Set launched last Friday (10 Nov), featuring two pieces of Ayam Goreng with fries and a drink for only RM13.95 and a Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng set with iced lemon tea with only RM10.95.
Yesterday (11 Nov), the famous fast-food chain introduced another offer, reducing the price of a 5-piece fried chicken meal from RM32 to RM25, effectively making each piece of chicken cost RM5.
This offer is only applicable to those who purchase through the Drive-Thru service.

Besides lowering prices, McDonald’s Malaysia was also observed to have disabled the comment function on their Facebook post announcing this offer.
This move comes after the announcement of up to RM4 discounts on two of their most popular meals.
Despite these special offers, many netizens who supported the boycott did not seem to be satisfied and stop their backlash.
They continued to mock and criticize McDonald’s Malaysia in the comment sections of other posts, questioning why they disabled the comments on the new offer post.

Others bashed them for not being able to take the public’s comments.
“Might as well deactivate your social media page” one commented.

Some questioned why the prices were so high in the first place since the company can afford to lower them now.

As for other posts, the company has limited the comment feature, allowing only those who share the post to express their opinions.
