Childbirth is an extremely painful process and definitely not meant for the faint of heart (or stomach, in this case).
A man in China was made to experience the sheer pain of bearing kids by going through a childbirth simulator for three hours straight, only to have his intestines severely damaged as a result.
China man sits through childbirth simulator for 3 hours
According to Chinese media CTWANT, the man’s girlfriend wrote on Xiaohongshu (XHS) how her mother and sister insisted that he be put on the childbirth simulator before they got engaged.
This was because they believed men should witness firsthand the pain of childbirth so that they would treat their wives better.

Despite the man’s initial misgivings, he relented after his girlfriend’s mother insisted on it.
Thus, on Jan 24, the man was placed on a childbirth simulator at a confinement centre operated by his girlfriend’s sister.
Over the course of three hours, he shouted, struggled, cursed, and cried tears of pain before eventually collapsing and breathing heavily when the pain level reached Level 12.
Suffered intestinal necrosis
At the end of the session, the man was completely drenched in sweat and his stomach had become unusually hard.
When night time came, he vomited non-stop and didn’t recover fully until noontime on Jan 26. However, he continued to experience severe abdominal pain, causing him to be hospitalised a week later.

It was later revealed that he had suffered from intestinal necrosis, a condition where part of the intestine starts to die due to a lack of blood supply.
To make matters worse, a part of his small intestine had to be removed due to necrosis on Feb 1.
Man’s mother threatens to sue GF’s family
The news eventually reached the ears of the man’s mother, who immediately called off the engagement.
The girl was later informed that the incident had enraged her boyfriend’s family, adding that she was barred from visiting him at the hospital.

She was also told that a lawsuit might be filed against her for the internal injuries sustained by her boyfriend.
As for the Xiaohongshu post, it was deleted and the woman deactivated her account following a public outrage.
