A woman has gone viral after sharing a frightening encounter in which a stranger allegedly tried multiple times to open her car door while she was parked alone in Titiwangsa early in the morning.
In a Threads post, she uploaded dashcam footage and videos showing a man lingering around her vehicle before allegedly attempting to open the door several times.
Stranger allegedly circled her car before trying to enter
According to the woman, @asyikinahmad, the man was first seen walking suspiciously around the area before approaching her parked vehicle.

Dashcam footage shared in her post showed him pacing around both sides of the car while repeatedly glancing around the surroundings.
He then allegedly tried several times to open the car door, seemingly unaware that someone was seated inside.
The woman later honked her horn, startling the man and causing him to back away.
She remained inside the vehicle until she saw other people nearby before quickly exiting and heading into her office.

I was so scared at this moment. He tried a few times. You can hear from the video how many times he tried to open my car door,” she wrote.
She believes the man may not have realised someone was inside due to her car’s dark window tint.
“Even for men, always lock your car. There are many cases of motorcyclists snatching handbags at traffic lights because doors were left unlocked,” she added.
Arrived at work earlier than usual that morning
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Asyikin said the incident occurred at around 6.30am when she arrived at work earlier than normal.

She explained that she had reached the office ahead of schedule because she needed to drop off several items at the lobby before parking her car.
Normally, she said, she only arrives after 7am when the area is brighter and busier.
Recalling the moment, the OP said the suspect initially stood motionless near her vehicle.
I thought if I stayed quiet and didn’t react, he might just walk away,” she said.
Instead, the man allegedly remained outside before escalating his behaviour and trying to open her car door.
The OP said the parking area is located near a food court and is usually frequented by passing vehicles and pedestrians.
However, because it was still very early, the area was much quieter than normal at the time of the incident.
Did not lodge police report after incident
Although shaken by the ordeal, the woman said she did not file a police report afterward.
Asyikin added that she has been parking in the area for years and has always remained cautious due to its surroundings.
Despite the incident, she said she has limited alternatives and may still need to park there.
Reflecting on the encounter, the woman believes staying calm helped prevent the situation from worsening.
She noted that her dark window tint, locked doors, and quick access to her phone also gave her added protection.
Even though I was scared, I tried not to panic because panicking could have made things worse,” she said.
“For example, if I had suddenly driven off in fear, I might have gotten into an accident instead.”
Urged public to always lock car doors
Following the incident, the woman urged the public to stay vigilant, especially when parking alone in secluded areas.
She shared that she always checks her surroundings carefully before entering her vehicle.
“I always look around nearby cars before getting in because someone could be hiding on the opposite side.”
She also reminded drivers to lock their doors immediately after entering their vehicle.
“Don’t start the engine first or put on your seatbelt first. Lock your doors first.”
The woman added that carrying pepper spray or a portable alarm may also help improve personal safety.
