A man pretending to be a delivery rider was caught on CCTV stealing a bag of food from a chicken rice stall in Singapore, prompting the business to file a police report.
The incident took place around noon on June 28 at OK Chicken Rice & Humfull Laksa, located at Block 51 Havelock Road.
Caught on camera
In CCTV footage shared by the eatery on Facebook, a man dressed in black and wearing a safety helmet was seen loitering near a collection table where delivery orders were placed.

He inspected the bags, checked his phone, and walked around the table a few times. Eventually, he picked one of the bags and walked away casually with the order.
Stall speaks out
OK Chicken Rice addressed the incident on its Facebook page, expressing disappointment while also showing compassion.

We would like to believe that these actions are merely out of necessity and not malicious or mischievous intent,” the post read.
They added that if anyone was struggling and needed help, “please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’ll be more than happy to provide you with food.”
Staff only noticed when a rider questioned the missing order
According to Zao Bao, a staff member said the incident happened during the busy lunch period. Delivery orders were left on a table for collection, with 16 food packets packed into four bags.
“We usually let the delivery riders check and collect the orders themselves,” the staff said.
It wasn’t until a rider asked why he couldn’t find his order that the missing bag was noticed. After checking the CCTV, staff realised a middle-aged man had taken one of the bags.
Police investigating
The stall has since filed a police report.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
