A man working as a janitor in the United States of America (USA) left more than just foul-smelling and tasting drinking water after he urinated into a water dispenser.
This comes after several female employees discovered they had contracted sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) after consuming the tainted water.
US man pees into water dispenser at Texas health clinic
According to court documents secured by The Independent, the incident occurred in 2022 at a health clinic in Houston, Texas, where it had a five-gallon water dispenser placed at the common area for staff to use.

On August 30, a female staff noticed that the water had “a funny taste and smell to it”, prompting her to bring her own water bottle instead of taking it from the dispenser.
However, she later discovered that the water from her personal water bottle also had the same funky smell, causing her to throw the bottle away instead of digging further.
Sensing that something was amiss, the woman placed a security camera on her computer and place a large water bottle in front of the camera.
The camera later showed a janitor named Lucio Catarino Diaz entering her office to supposedly carry out cleaning duties.
Instead of doing that, he unzipped his pants, placed his genitals into the water bottle, and peed into it.

On top of that, Diaz even rubbed his genitals around the mouth of the bottle before capping it shut and placing it back to its original position.
The woman filed a police report over the shocking discovery, where she added it probably wasn’t Diaz’s first time as he didn’t show any signs of nervousness.
Admitted to act, staff infected with STDs
When Diaz was arrested and questioned by police, he confessed to the crime and said he had urinated in the clinic’s water dispenser several times with the knowledge that “the victims would drink it the next day”.
He also told police that he “had a sickness”.

Diaz was later found to be suffering from two types of STDs, namely herpes simplex virus type 1 and chlamydia.
STD tests conducted on the woman who drank the contaminated water revealed that she had contracted herpes, which was a first for her. Several other female staff also suffered the same fate, leading all of them to sue Diaz.
In court, Diaz pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years in jail but has already served two.
Court documents also showed that he wasn’t required to register as a sex offender, with his lawyer claiming Diaz had shown deep remorse for his actions.
