What was supposed to be a lucrative transaction for a young man quickly turned into a nightmare after he got caught for breaking several traffic laws.
The operation, codenamed ‘Ops Luxury’, was carried out yesterday (Dec 28) at the exit of the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) at around 10.05am by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), reported Kosmo!.
Found guilty of several offences
According to Selangor JPJ Director Azrin Borhan, he said investigations found that a 34-year-old man was making his way to Setia Alam to sell off a Lamborghini.

However, it was ultimately foiled when JPJ officers intercepted him in the operation, where they discovered he had committed the following offences:
- No license plate displayed at the front of the car
- Insurance and Motor Vehicle License (LKM) which had expired 15 months ago
When questioned, the man said he didn’t renew the luxury car’s insurance and LKM as it was going to be sold off.

Previous offenses
Aside from the aforementioned offenses, checks also revealed that the driver had a previous record, including failing to comply with speed limits, not having a valid driving licence, and having an expired probationary driving licence.
The Lamborghini was subsequently seized and taken to the Ijok Enforcement Station (SPK) for further action under the Road Transport Act 1987.

Azrin said Selangor JPJ will continue to carry out continuous monitoring and enforcement on all complaints received.
“This is to ensure that every vehicle on the road always complies with the rules and laws that have been set,” he added.
