A man in Malaysia has been living on a tree for more than six months after being unable to afford room rental, as revealed in a Facebook post by social activist Uncle Kentang.

According to the Facebook post, the man was previously a cushion maker but fell into hard times.
With nowhere else to go, he chose to sleep on top of a tree and has remained there for months.

Uncle Kentang shared that he spoke to the man and encouraged him to look for a room.
He also brought him food and checked on his condition.

Mixed reactions online
The post sparked various responses from netizens.
Some pointed out that the man seemed physically fit enough to climb a tree, questioning why he didn’t seek a job or shelter.
Others, however, expressed sympathy and hoped he would soon overcome his hardship.
Uncle Kentang has long been known for highlighting the struggles of the underprivileged and stepping in to offer help when needed.
