A man from China has been arrested after allegedly filming a victim inside a public toilet at a shopping mall in Bukit Jalil.
Victim realised he was being recorded from next cubicle

Reported by Harian Metro, Cheras District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud said the arrest was made at around 1.28pm following a report lodged by a local man.
The incident is believed to have taken place earlier at about 11am. The victim reportedly realised he was being recorded by someone from the adjacent toilet cubicle using a mobile phone.
Police seized suspect’s phone with obscene videos
The suspect, a Chinese national in his mid-20s, was detained shortly after the report was made.
Police also seized a mobile phone belonging to the suspect during the arrest. Initial checks found several obscene videos stored in the device’s gallery.
Authorities said the suspect has admitted to his involvement in the incident.
Case investigated under Penal Code and Immigration Act
The case is currently being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which relates to insulting modesty, as well as Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for not possessing valid travel documents.
The suspect has been remanded for 14 days starting from yesterday until April 9.
Police added that investigations are still ongoing.
